Solar Bat®
sunglasses are perfect for fishing, but the high quality lenses are also
great for many other sports. Each of the
Noctular® PNV and
Noctular® sunglasses are
tagged with icons to help you choose which pair of sunglasses is best
for you. |
 |
FRESHWATER
Solar Bat® sunglasses are designed to protect the eyes from the
elements. All Solar Bat® styles are well suited for freshwater fishing.
The best tints for freshwater are the Mossback , Mossback gradient, and
amber. |
 |
SALTWATER
Saltwater anglers experience the most intense sunlight of any outdoor
sports. Light is not only intense from above but from all angles.
Sunglasses must block light from all angles yet "breath" to reduce lens
fogging in extreme heat. Sunglasses and tints marked with the saltwater
icon are well suited for this sport. |
 |
GOLF
Sunglasses for golf must be effective at blocking sunlight while not
obstructing peripheral vision on the back swing. Tints must not affect
the wearer's ability to read the greens. Solar Bat® enlisted the
assistance of our golf pro staff to design a tint that would work. Solar
Bat®'s amber polarized tint was the result. As a matter of fact, our pro
staff golfers can read the greens better with the amber polarized tint
than with the naked eye. Look for the golf icon for styles best suited
for golf but remember Solar Bat® amber polarized is the ultimate
performance golf tint. |

MOTOR SPORTS
Motor sports such as motorcycle, four wheeler, and snowmobile are a
natural for Solar Bat® sunglasses. Speed in the outdoors is a trademark
of these sports. Styles marked with the motor sport icon are designed to
block the wind and elements and resist lens fogging. Many styles have
foam-lined eyewires that are either fixed or removable. These sunglasses
look like sunglasses and work like goggles. |
 |
HUNTING AND
SHOOTING
In shooting sports safety is first and foremost. Sunglasses marked with
the hunting icon feature 2.0mm polycarbonate lenses. Polycarbonate is
the optical name for lexan, which is the material used in bulletproof
glass. Polycarbonate is the ultimate in impact resistance yet very light
in weight. The Pro S Kit is Z87 approved for wear as safety glasses.

BICYCLE AND
RUNNING
Sunglasses for these sports must block the elements but "breath" to
reduce lens fogging. Lens fogging can be a real problem in sports
involving heat, perspiration, but not extreme speed. |
